SMART Software Accreditation Levels

Ready is the basic accreditation level for a software or content product, indicating that SMART has approved the title for use with its products.

Products at the Enabled level meet the requirements of the Ready level and are also integrated with SMART Board Tools. The integration enhances interactivity because it takes advantage of a digital ink feature called SMART Ink Aware.

The following development tools are available:

  • SMART Board software development kit (SDK) for C++, C#, Visual Basic and Java
  • SDK for Adobe Flash

SMART Board software also activates the SMART Ink Aware feature for leading Microsoft, Corel, Adobe and Open Office software applications, including the following:

  • Microsoft NetMeeting 3
  • Microsoft NetMeeting 2.0 and 2.1
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • CorelDRAW
  • Corel Presentations
  • AutoCAD
  • AutoVue
  • Volo View
  • Microsoft Paint
  • DWF Composer 2.0
  • Imaging
  • Microsoft Windows Journal
  • Corel Grafigo 2
  • Microsoft Office OneNote
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0
  • ArcView
  • Microsoft Live Meeting
  • OpenOffice.org Writer
  • OpenOffice.org Impress
  • OpenOffice.org Draw

The Ink Aware options for these applications are located under the Control Panel link of SMART Board software.

Products at the Select level meet the requirements of the Enabled level and also contain content designed specifically for Notebook software.

The following development tools are available: All of the tools listed at the Enabled level, SMART Gallery Packager Tool for Notebook software and the SMART Board software development kit for Adobe Flash (Notebook Flash library components).
